We are looking for Project Head / Project Manager to join the GFT APAC team working onsite with our strategic client base, primarily in Hong Kong.
As a Project Head, you will work with industry-leading technology and business experts across multiple domains, including DLT & Blockchain, Cloud Transformation and Banking as well as our nearshore and offshore development teams in Asia and Europe who are well versed in all matters related to agile methodologies and frameworks, technology delivery and the engineering of exceptional software solutions. Daily, you’ll collaborate internationally with colleagues, clients, and partners throughout Asia (primarily Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia) and Europe (Poland and Spain).
Roles & Responsibilities:
Act as GFT’s representative in day-to-day client-facing interactions Create, review and drive project planning, working closely with the client to ensure correct goal setting and milestone alignment Monitor internal teams’ work regularly with offshore Delivery Manager, Project Manager and Tech Leads via internal governance ceremonies
Record and socialise minutes and resulting actions among stakeholders from various working groups
Operational level: Daily stand-ups, Scrum of Scrums, Weekly checkpoints and sync-ups, sprint retrospectives & reviews
Program level: Lead internal & external operational governance meetings as well as support the Client and Delivery Manager to prepare and coordinate the internal and client-facing Steering and Executive governance committee meetings
Townhalls: together with the Delivery Manager and GFT account team coordinate Townhalls
Address escalations from offshore Project Manager and Tech leads (internal) or client (external) about project risks and issues and establishing processes Onboarding/Offboarding process simplification & standardization
Project team performance feedback (external stakeholders: Product Owner, Tech leads, CTO/CIO & internal stakeholders) & creating improvement plans together with Project Manager/Tech Lead
Monitor and review client satisfaction, devise improvement strategies and implement initiatives (go-live and year-end celebrations, high performers rewards program etc.)
Support the Delivery Manager and near/offshore Delivery team to monitor employee satisfaction and identify areas of improvement, flight risk, key personnel, etc.
Support Delivery Manager with SOW reviews, Change Requests, Extensions, and Reductions together with the Client Manager
Ensure Project compliance and deliverable quality against GFT’s policies and processes
Support the GFT Operations & Finance teams
Month-end timesheets, Financial PO report generation, consolidation & identifying any areas of improvement
Clarifying contractors’ queries/support for expense approvals
Mandatory e-learning compliance training follow-ups/closure
Background check report generation & follow-ups
Engaging the client, together with Sales and/or the Client Manager, to gather requirements and understand their challenges
Help to shape and develop the appropriate delivery solutions by determining the right skillsets, team sizing, hiring needs etc. and communicating the same to the Delivery Manager
Working closely with the Delivery Manager and Client Manager, understand the client’s pain points, strategic trends and initiatives to position GFT to provide relevant and timely solutions
7+ years in a previous role as Project Manager or Engagement Manager or 10+ years in a previous role as PMO or Project Coordinator
Capacity to manage high-stress situations
Written and verbal communication skills (Cantonese and English essential)

Capacity to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
Ability to work across multiple timezones seamlessly
